ZaCk is WaLkInG!!

Zack took his first step on March 2 and has been progressing since then, from 1-2 steps, to 4-6, and now longer stretches. He's been a PRO with his push toys for some time. (Seriously, he's like the Jeff Gordon of push toys!) He's had the strength but lacked balance but is now standing completely on his own for long stretches, and has made huge strides (haha) with his walking in the last week. He can't stand up without pulling up on something, but once he's up, walking is his first choice, and he walks until he falls. Overall, he's walking about 50% of the time, and it's adorable. (He's adorable when he crawls too, of course.) 

Soon he'll be keeping up with his sister, which is SCARY! I'm not sure how Breeley feels about it. She likes playing with him and he's able to do more and more, but the more he develops, the more she competes with him. Whenever we hold out our arms for Zack to walk to us, she jumps in and very loudly announces that she can do it too, and then runs past him. As if we didn't know before, we are now very aware that Breeley can walk (and run and jump), and can push a push toy just as fast and aggressively as Zack! In fact, in one effort to show off her skills, after saying the famous, "Daddy, watch this!" her speed resulted in a flip over the toy after it got stuck on the carpet. That slowed her down for about two seconds. Needless to say, I'm a little nervous about having two talented walkers on our hands, but we're very proud of Zack for his newest accomplishment!
